CygNet version 9.9 is now available for download from the Weatherford CygNet Download Site. We encourage you to upgrade your CygNet installations as soon as possible to access newly available features and begin using the added functionality.
CygNet v9.9 provides many new and updated features throughout the latest product, including:
CygNet Measurement and Dispatch improvements to the database upgrade process, a new Command Queue viewing feature, a new Liquid Configuration report, expanded facility filtering options for Detect New Devices commands, improved command log messaging for Detect New Devices and more, increased performance and efficiency of Update Normalization Views commands, and for users of CygNet Dispatch, newly supported “Daily” or “Native” record span options for variable job schedules.
CygNet Core updates including enhanced CygNet messaging to improve performance and reduce the impact of network latency, improved Client security by updating the Telerik UI for WPF libraries (used by Canvas, CygNet Explorer, and Dispatch) to the latest version, and significantly reduced replication resync times prioritizing full resync speed over low network bandwidth considerations.
CygNet EIEs enhancements to CygNet communication and remote devices, including MQTT Comm EIE queueing and logging improvements, a new IoT CygNet Link EIE (bidirectional data transfer between CygNet and remote devices via Weatherford Link and MQTT Sparkplug), Totalflow EIE support for an "Enhanced Meter Mode" for AGA3, AGA7, and API Linear Liquid meters, and other improvements to improve configurability, usability, polling, templates options, and data quality for the Allen Bradley CIP EIE, DNP3 Emerson EIE, and Lufkin SAM EIE.
CygNet HMI improvements appear in both Canvas and Thin Web Client. Enhancements in Canvas include design view alignment and control sizing, improved layout rendering for screens with multiple elements, resolutions for Canvas.View memory leak and startup issues, and several usability fixes. The new Thin Web Client 1.6 was released 15 Nov 2024 and includes new controls, plus improved support for screen creation and usability.
CygNet Well Test Module now runs a 64-bit service, supports up to 1,000 simultaneous well tests, executes Well Test actions more efficiently, offers dynamic sequencing of wells in a header based on UDC values or setpoints, has improved operational efficiency and storage of header queues and well test results in VHS blobs, provides more useful and detailed logging with up to 10 log files created, and includes updated Well Test sample screens to match enhancements, improve usability, and operate more efficiently.
CygNet OPC UA Suite (coming April 30) offers a new integrated suite of tools, consisting of the CygNet OPC UA Server, CygNet OPC UA Client Service, CygNet OPC UA Config Manager, and CygNet OPC UA Web API, that simplifies and expands OPC UA integration and provides the means to efficiently manage access to CygNet data via the OPC UA protocol. Requires separate licensing + CygNet Bridge v4.8.
Tools and APIs in this release include new .NET APIs for Notes, Devices, Data Group Transactions, and History Jobs, and provides enhanced ODBC query support.
